Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola the Minister of Works and Housing, has rejected a fake Facebook account set up in his name, which displays is recent picture, and warned Nigerians against being deceived by the Scammers.
Mr Fashola was has severally in the past disclaimed such fake accounts, told the General public that his verified Facebook account remained Babatunde Fashola.
Several reports on fake account and it was deleted immediately after detected, the last fake account set up in the name of the minister /former Lagos State governor’s name had the username: Fashola Raji Fashola, the scammer wrote that he’s the Minister and the Federal Government was giving out the sum of N700,000 to youths to enable to pay there bills and set up business for themselves and invest in business among others.
The publication was written in a very poor English by the scammer which says, “All the Nigeria citozing of all the locally Government in the Nigeria are Beneficiary of the Federal Government to Empower the youths to pay there school fees, contact Number 08035339533).
According to a Statement by the special Adviser on Communication. Mr Hakeem Bello, the Minister described that it is unfortunate that despite repeated warnings and disclaimer, some citizens will still fall victim and the scammer won’t stop scamming, any scammer found will be arrested immediately with no mercy.
